The WX has finally turned from Winter to
Summer in "Sunny Kaleephorneeah" But guess I shouldn’t bitch…could
be living somewhere along the Mississippi or Missouri rivers. My heart
goes out to those people…just wonder how the press would be reporting
these disasters if "W" were still in office…hummmm.
There is so much crud in the news the
last few days, just don’t know where to start. First, I need to give
credit where credit it due…and believe me I don’t like giving these
"folks" anything positive, but the truth according to the WST
is that the Obama administration is doing what it as previous Presidents
should have done a long time ago…crack down on employers that hire
Illegal Immigrants! The new "Silent Raids" now being carried
out by the ICE will focus new light on companies that many of us know
well. On the flip side, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, has once again
made an "ass" of itself on this subject…stating through the
mouth of Senior V.P. Randy Johnson, that "…the audits are based
more on a fishing expedition than on real facts." And that
"these audits cost millions of dollars in lost productivity and
attorney’s fees." Well, Mister speaking for the C of C, if these
companies were compliant with the immigration laws, they would pass
these audits and not miss a step of production and profits. I agree with
the administration that jobs are the magnet for illegal immigration.
Even the advocates for immigrants say the audits force workers to leave
well-paying jobs with benefits for lower paying positions in the
underground economy…which is a strong contradiction to the often
stated argument that, "illegal immigrants only take the jobs that
U.S. citizens won’t." Go get ‘em ICE!
Are the chickens coming home to
roost? Yeah, me thinks so and in a great place too…Chicago! Seems the
Chicago school board has voted unanimously to rescind teachers scheduled
4% pay increase. The board president David Vitale appointed by Obama-trained
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, stated that the raises would amount to $100
Million and there just wasn’t enough money to accommodate the teachers…Chicago
already has a deficit of $712 Million for 2011. Oh, I forgot to mention
that the school board also voted no pay raises for union members of the
lunchroom, janitors and other school employees. Where are the
demonstrators and protesters? I suspect that since it’s a liberal
administration running the show, you won’t hear much…if the
decisions were made by conservatives…Katy bar the door!
